Finally there is a course that is aimed towards coffee aficionados that allows you to take that traditional morning cup of coffee and become your own barista. This two day class takes the basic knowledge you have of the coffee bean and teaches you everything from the history and cultural significance of coffee and moves straight to studying coffee in two of its most popular forms, espresso and cappuccino. But don’t think the course is all about history and talking. There is plenty of interactive tasting to enjoy. Everything from helping to build your palate, to building a true “nose” for coffee, and truly appreciate the perfect cup of joe. You will have the opportunity to learn how to use state of the art illy machines, and leave this course looking at your morning cup of coffee in a whole new light.
Classes run for $595 and are 15 hours of instruction over the two day period breakfast and lunch are included, tasting and hands-on practice.
