Michael Alden_Broadways Best Producer

I am about to act out on the very talented, loveable, and respectful PRODUCER man Mr. Michael Alden. Who was the Associate Producer on Warner Bros, JUST CAUSE starring Sean Connery and produced the award-winning UnZIPPED for Miramax. Along with being associate Producer on William Devizia’s LESSER PROPHETS, just to name a few of his effects as a producer.

Hey there producer man, what made you zip-UP acting to UN-Zip producing screenplays and plays?

Michael

Life. The SAG strike in the 70’s went on for so long that when it finally ended, every Ron Howard, Anson Williams et. Al were at every audition and it made it hard to land a television job with their credits in front of me.

David

Now that you have played pretty much all the roles in what it takes to complete a feature for the screen and a show for the stage. What role do you favor/ and which role have you played out?

Michael

I like lead producing – finding the project, putting the team together and being a part of bringing a story to life on film, or on the stage.

David

You are constantly being approach with people pitching their ideas for plays and screenplays. Can you describe the mental inspiration you go through to pick the play you want to produce?

Michael

My spine tingles.

David

A lot of people (method actor’s singer’s aka real talent) protest reality TV/movies is occupying the essence of TV and Films leaving less of an opportunity for them to find work and build their craft. What are your thoughts on reality TV/FILM?

Michael

Don’t like it. Don’t watch it. And of course, if I was hired to produce it – I probably would.

David

Does your work ethic changed when producing theatre shows from when you are producing film?

Michael

I get much more sleep working on stage plays,

David

Does money alter your dedication to a production? (Is it all about the Benjamin’s babe?)

Michael

No and yes. If I was developing a small play off Broadway and was offered a lead producing opportunity on a film, I would take the film. Then I would probably go back to the play.

Michael

That’s impossible. The world knows far too much about me as it is.

David

Continued health and to remain grateful for the opportunities I have already been presented with and for those still to come.

David

There is a new screenplay called David Effect! It’s about this hot middle eastern GOD that obliviously leads people on with his belly dancing, conscientiously drops them off with his poetic writing, all in the mist of meeting producers about his screen plays, traveling all over the world looking for his one and only. Before you turn the page onto his one man show, here are some of his character traits: he hates to hear the word NO, has the sickness and cure for DRAMA!!! Extremely kind aka the biggest asshole… the trait that’s most apparent on him is he is 100% authentic . Oh wait a minute I think he just pitched it! : ) what do you think Michael? (nobody sits babe in the corner )

Michael is currently in development on the romantic comedy AT LONG LAST LOVE, a feature film written by Shelley Howell.　 For the stage, Mr. Alden is preparing the Broadway premiere of "Palm Beach" directed by Des McAnuff, "My Brilliant Divorce" directed by Jerry Zaks and "Russian on the Side" directed by Mark Waldrop.
