• 2 cups of water
• 1 ½ tsp. of ground coriander
• Fennel, to taste
• 3 tbsp. of ground cardamom
• 1/3 cup fresh minced ginger
• 1/2 tsp. black pepper in grain
• 1 cinnamon sprig
• 3 cloves
• 2 star anise
• 1 pinch allspice
• 3 cups of milk
• 3 tbsp. black tea
Bring the water to a boil and add the coriander, fennel and cardamom. Stir and add the rest of the spices. Now reduce the temperature and let it cool and place it in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours or let it sit overnight.
Heat the milk, add the spices from the night before and allow it to reach to a gentle boil. Now add the black tea and stir frequently to avoid burning about 5 minutes. Strain and sweeten with stevia, honey or black sugar.
